NCP leader shot dead in Mumbai

Mumbai. NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) leader Baba Siddiqui has been shot dead in India. Several rounds were fired at him in Mumbai’s Bandra East on Saturday night.
After that he was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in critical condition. He was reportedly shot in the chest.

Son Zeeshan Siddiqui was attacked when he was going to his office. According to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, the police have arrested two people in this case. They are being interrogated.

In February this year, Baba Siddiqui left the Congress and joined the NCP (Ajit Pawar faction). He was in the Congress for the last 48 years.

While informing about the incident, CM Eknath Shinde said, “There was a fatal attack on Baba Siddiqui, he has died.” This is a sad incident. Two accused have been arrested, one is absconding. The third accused will also be arrested soon. One accused is from Haryana and one from Uttar Pradesh.
