“With the construction of the Bhume Devi Temple, playground, and homestay, along with the necessary infrastructure to attract tourists, around 1,000 domestic tourists are coming from Nuwakot.

And surrounding areas daily for forest feasts, excursions, and various formal programs,” said Chairman Tamang. “Economic activities, including consumption and the purchase and sale of local agricultural produce, have also become active.”

With the Prime Minister’s Employment Program, the rural municipality has built a park with statues of martyrs who lost their lives during the armed conflict and planted tea plants with the labor of the residents of the municipality.

The place, which is in the form of a valley, has green tea gardens, water, electricity, toilets, free internet, and attractive ‘selfie points’ for those who want to make photos and videos, said local Purushottam Khadka.

Chairman Tamang informed that the rural municipality has built and brought into operation houses with government investment. “Attractive hotels, restaurants, and houses are also being built by the private sector.

The rural municipality has been facilitating the operation of houses and the construction of infrastructure. This has helped the locals focus on earning money,” he said.

Chairman Tamang said that Ghyangswara, which is spread over an area of ​​150 ropanis, is known as an open valley with an altitude of 1,700 to 2,200 meters.

He said that the trekking route to the Ganesh temple at the highest point has been built from the middle of the tea garden, which has increased its importance as a pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists.

Although there is a well-maintained road with blacktop to Lakuri Bhanyang, the center of Panchakanya rural municipality, there are about five km of rural road, so the rural municipality is requesting the federal government for assistance in building more infrastructure, including a well-maintained road in that place, Chairman Tamang mentioned.

Accordingly, Tamang said that Nepali Congress spokesperson Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, who is a member of the House of Representatives representing the same seat, has shown interest in the infrastructure construction with the idea of ​​turning the under-construction playground into a multi-purpose stadium.

Congress spokesperson Dr. Mahat had committed to taking the initiative in constructing additional infrastructure, including the construction of well-maintained roads and, preservation of the Bhumesthan temple.

And the construction of the playground as a multi-purpose stadium, in line with the vision of Ghyangswaram Rural Municipality, which is becoming an attractive center for tourism.

Chairman Tamang informed that he has assured that the necessary budget will be provided in the coming fiscal year to complete the idea of ​​​​systematizing the structures here, as it is possible to enjoy the picturesque environment while observing the snow ranges of Nuwakot and the surrounding districts.

Locals say that benefits have been taken from Kakani, Suryachaur, and Shivpuri National Park in Nuwakot, as well as Ghyangswara, recently, for tourism promotion.
